Really couldn’t be more impressed. We were expecting the typical room above a pub, but it was incredibly comfortable, clean and ideal for our stay in the lakes at the bank holiday. Absolutely well worth the money!! The bed was one of the best beds I’ve slept in… so impressed: we will be back.

Basic but functional stay. Completely acceptable for the price you pay. Digital access to building and room worked well and I assume keeps costs down. More of our closed down pubs should be converted along the lines of this model. Absolutely fantastic pub just across the road with great food, beer and vibe. Completely fine for a one night stop.

We stayed last night as a stop off to do a walk today. The room was clean, warm and the bed was comfy and had tea and coffee making facilities. The location is good for the lakes if you want to break the journey, takeaways are 5 mins away in seascale along with a coop. It's not fancy, but for £45 a night, it did exactly what it needed to for us.
