I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort, cleanliness, and condition of this hotel. (This is a HOTEL, despite being named MOTEL.) I don't usually choose Motel 6 as a place to overnight when I'm traveling. But I took a chance on this one because it had such great reviews on Hotels.com. I found the reviews to be accurate. Parts of the room looked a bit worn, but nothing that affected the comfort and cleanliness of it. I'm talking about inconsequential details such as the paint around the door frame. There were no signs of low maintenance that are often found in hotel rooms, such as gloppy, moldy caulking in the bathroom, poorly-installed low-quality faucets, etc. etc. Only two complaints, if you can call them that. First was the lack of a King-size bed option. My husband is 6'2", so we weren't too thrilled at having to choose a queen bed for the night. But, really, for the price, how could we complain? Second, only 2 pillows on the bed, although they were comfortable pillows. Fortunately, I always bring my own pillow when I'm traveling so that worked out okay.
