The room was big and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Location is great and very walkable to popular areas like the aquarium and Centennial Park. The air did not cool quickly and the property is dated, with only one elevator functioning. There was limited parking even though you have to pay for it but this was a busy weekend in Atlanta. The breakfast had good variety.

At check in I should have been notified that one elevator was not working, and maybe been offered a lower floor. The other elevator was extremely small so I waited a very long time. The bathroom was run down and needed a paint job and the room had a sour smell to it. Also the site never told us parking would be an extra charge Very Disappointed

Unfortunately did not have a great stay at this location. We arrived at the hotel at 6:00pm to check in only to be told our room was not ready. If check in starts at 3:00pm, the room should be ready by 3:00pm; I could understand if we were early to check-in or even if the turnover service was running behind, but for the price tag for this hotel, the room should be ready well before 6pm. We asked what we should do or if we could be moved to a different room, and the host was very unhelpful not offering to change rooms (even though the hotel was far from being fully booked) and said we’d just need to go park somewhere if we weren’t willing to pay the $35 hotel parking until it was ready because we could not stay parked in the drop-off circle. We decided on hotel parking but because we did not have a room key, getting into the lot required calling from the lot-entry point to the front desk who did not pick up or let us into the lot until the THIRD call. Once parked we went back inside to wait and suddenly our room was suspiciously now “ready”… The room was dank and smelled of body odor, the floor was dirty and sticky, the bathroom in general was full of damage - sink/counter about to fall off the wall, toilet paper holder had fallen off the wall, and damage on the doors and bathtub. The front desk staff the next morning (4/13) and particularly the breakfast host (who I believe said her name was Darla) were absolutely fantastic and are the sole reason we MAY consider going back.
